Best All Around Food:    Hannah’s.    From the quesodillas to the lamb curry to the omlettes, Hannah’s wins hands down. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are all covered here. Located on Burns avenue one block from downtown.

Best Pizza Joint:    Mr Greedy’s.    You might find yourself visiting Greedy’s every day until you hit your personal pizza wall. Fantastic pizzas will have you calling them to deliver even when you get back home. Located on the far side of Santa Elena.

Best 24 Hour Diner:    Eagle's Landing.    The only 24 hour restaurant in Belize! Great food, and amazing prices. They'll be putting the bad restaurants out of business soon. Try the burritos; they are huge, and just $3. Located across the street from the Belize bank, next to Firenza Cafe.

Best Italian:    Amore Mio.    Superior in every aspect! Great appetizers, food and deserts. Small and quaint, just like you’re on an Italian back street. Located in the JNC mall right next to the bus drop off.

Best Indian:    South Indian Restaurant.    Try their ginger lime juice, it’ll have you wanting a pitcher of it. Their simosas are what they are known for, and must be tried. Located in the Plaza Del Rio mall.

Best Mexican:    Rolson’s Cocina.    With a great view to match the comida too. Located on the way towards Benque – turn right before the gas station on the way out of town.

Best Steakhouse:    J & K’s.    Great ambiance, along with some nice choice cuts. Located next to the Cahal Pech football park.

Best Sri Lankan:    Serindib.    It might be the only Sri Lankan, but it’s still wonderful food with a nice patio out back. Abner, your waiter, qualifies as best waiter in Cayo too. Ask him for anything, and you’ll get it quickly. Located on Burns avenue right next to the JNC mall.

Best Chinese:    Maxim’s.    Try the chicken chop suey, and you’ll be delighted. This is the place for fried chicken too. Always packed, which is a great sign. Located on Bullet Tree road 2 blocks from downtown.

Best Burger and Fries:    Saddleback Grill.    Most impressive exterior and a unique interior too; amazing for Cayo, actually. Check out the 2nd floor view. Located next to the Cahal Pech football park.

Best Grilled Food:    Sanny’s Grill.    Hard to find, but worth the search. Romantic atmosphere, and open for dinner only. The hardest spot to find in Cayo: you’ll just have to ask for directions.

Best Fast Food:    Mencho’s    A little hole in the wall. Look for the benches and signs for fruit juices and tacos across the street from Cafe Cayo. You should try at least 2 juices(only $1 each), and a meal in a basket. Great for hangovers too. Located on Burns avenue.

Best Bakery:    Old French Bakery.    Great wheat bread and baggettes! Lots of yummy pastries abound, and their croissants rule! Found in the new mall across from the bus drop off.

Best Family Hang Out:    Hode’s Place.    Everything under the sun can be found here. Video games, air hockey, pool tables, playground(in a small orchard), jukebox, and a small casino too. Try the burritos, they are big and cheap. Located next to Macaw park.

Best Internet Cafe:    Cafe Cayo.    This is where I usually meet couchsurfers in town. They have 10 internet machines there, a great lounge area, and amazing food. They've just redone the whole interior, and it's one of the cleaner places now. Their website is here
